We are in year two of our fabulous forest school! We are learning so much about where the wild things grow. Many families say that forest school Fridays are the highlight of their week. Our goal is to not have to leave the homestead and to conduct forest school right here on the homestead. These funds would go toward renting equipment to repair our road and build an amphitheater for classes and workshops. Last spring, our road got washed and and is in dire shape. We desperately need to smooth out and repair the road as it is beating up our only family vehicle. Just getting to forest school has been challenging. I keep hearing in my daily prayers, if you build it, they will come. This school was dreamed up over 10 years ago. A lot of dedication, hard work and sacrifice has gone into creating this school. We live totally off grid and printing out and laminating field guides has been an endeavor in itself!
Here are some fun photos of our school and homestead. I am so excited for what is to come. This homestead is so special and improving it will honor the pioneers and homesteaders that came before us.
